RSS provides the facility for both individuals and other websites to use content from the website publishing the RSS feed. Individauls can read the content using news reader software, Other websites can also update their own content with items listed in an RSS feed. Other popular formats like Atom also allow websites to publish news feeds in a similar fashion.
It is becoming increasingly difficult in competitive keyword segments to rank well on the major search engines.
